RECU in Action at
Corporate Special Olympics

On Friday, April 28th, RECU “Olympic Athletes” John Allison, Special Olympic athlete Josh, Davena Longhore- Ellis, Operations Specialist, and Barbara Jones, Member Service Manager (pictured l-r) competed in the Corporate Special Olympics. These mid-day events help raise awareness of people with intellectual disabilities and bring them into the broader society through a multitude of special activities and sports.

Why is it so hard to sign into home banking?

If you haven’t been on home banking since March, you will notice a lot of changes. Regulators recently directed financial institutions to improve systems for online authentication by the end of 2006. Using only a password and/or PIN often fails to protect online banking users. In order to protect you, RECU has implemented a more secure sign-on.

The first time you sign on to online banking, you will need to follow the directions:

STOP!
If you've never logged in to
the new security authentication,
you must click here!

After you have input your account number and PIN and copied the security code, you will be asked to set up three questions and answers. Setting up your own questions can make it easier to remember the answers.

You must also input a security key. This should be any word or numbers you will recognize so that you know you are on RECU and not a fraudulent Web page. This security key will appear on your Web pages and should NOT be your PIN. Fill in your e-mail address and you are ready to go.

Now that you’ve gotten in to home banking, why not try bill pay? You’ll be amazed at the amount of time you will save.
