Kucey Named to Georgia Credit Union League Board of Directors
Jeanne Kucey, president of Retail Employees Credit Union was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Georgia Credit Union League. Kucey's appointment exemplifies her ongoing commitment to the credit union movement in Georgia.Over the course of her 20 year career in the financial services industry, her participation in organizations that further the success of credit unions includes her role as secretary and treasurer of the Georgia Credit Union Foundation, and her membership on the Member Growth Initiative Task Force, Credit Union Development Policy Committee, and the Custom Peer Review Committee.
"Jeanne brings a great deal of foresight and knowledge to the Board, and we're glad to have a leader of her caliber serve credit unions throughout Georgia," said Phyllis Cochran, chairman of the Georgia Credit Union League Board of Directors.
Prior to working at RECU, Kucey served as both Vice President of Operations at Atlanta City Employees Credit Union and Vice President at San Diego County Credit Union. She graduated with a BS degree in Financial Management from California State University, Long Beach and spent the early years of her career as a branch manager with Lincoln Savings, HomeFed Bank, and San Diego Teachers Credit Union.
"Strong leadership is a key factor in seeing credit unions grow and succeed well into the future," said Kucey. "Working with the other professionals on the League Board, I hope to make a positive impact on credit union membership growth, strengthening smaller credit unions, and furthering the credit union principle of people helping people."
